Iden Sports Pavilion Donation

Stephen, July 22, 2011June 6, 2016

The plight of Iden’s Sports Pavilion following the recent damage caused by scrap metal thieves has received a £500 donation towards the cost of repairs from the Foundation.

The pavilion was gutted by the thieves as they plundered the venue of its copper pipes & sinks, causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.

Rob Cloute president of the Iden Cricket Club & Sports Pavilion Committee member said ‘On behalf of the Committee I would like to thank the Jempson Foundation for the donation. We hope to have the pavilion up & running again in the very near future’.

Stephen Jempson said ‘Andrew & I where saddened to read about the damage caused at Iden’s Pavilion in the Rye & Battle Observer, it gives us great pleasure in being able to make this donation, we hope that it helps with the repair of the club house following the theft’.
